During the summer, there are lots of fun ways to beat the heat. You can cool off with a popsicle or ice cream cone, visit the beach, or swim in a pool. But the most fun of all may be going to a water park.

At water parks, you can soar down water slides, swim in wave pools, or just hang out and catch some rays. In the hot summer months, water parks are usually crowded with families and children. Jason recently went to a water park. Hear him tell Amy about his experience.

Dialog

Amy

Jason

Amy: Man, with the weather being so nice, I would just love to go to a water park.

Jason: It’s so great.

Amy: When was the last time you went to a water park?

Jason: I think like two years ago.

Amy: Oh really?

Jason: I saw one on a road trip, just off to the side, and we had some extra time and just pulled over and went for it.

Amy: Nice.

Jason: And it was a blast.

Amy: Was it as fun as I remember it being from my childhood? Because I haven’t gone since I was a kid.

Jason: I think so. I think I got tired of it a little quicker than I used to. When I was a kid I could stay at the water park all day.

Amy: Definitely.

Jason: And I really only needed maybe an hour and a half. But I definitely was just riding a slide and then running back up the stairs and going down it over and over and over until I was dizzy.

Amy: Did they have a wave pool? Those were always fun.

Jason: Yeah, those are fun, but they’re also crowded.

Amy: Right. I also remember always getting hurt or someone else getting hurt at the water park. Like someone would…I don’t know, there’d be a nail sticking up out of a water slide, or someone would fall, like do a belly flop or something in the water. There was just always…there were hazards at the water park.

Jason: That’s part of the thrill, I think, the fact that you can never quite trust that you’re gonna be OK.

Amy: It’s true.

Amy says she would like to go to a water park. She has not been to one since she was a kid. Jason went to one a couple of years ago and had a blast.

Amy asks Jason if the water park was as fun for him as an adult as it was when he was a kid. He says he got tired of it more quickly than he used to, but he still had a great time.

Jason loved going on the water slide at the water park. He didn’t like the wave pool as much because it was too crowded. Amy says you often get hurt at water parks. Jason thinks that is just part of the fun.

Water park is one of my favorite place to beat the heat. Last summer I had blast with my friends in Paraiso Verde. I wish next year we can go back there.^_

i really lvd Wild Wade waterpark , am continually impressed by the new games the add everytime i go there .. it has a perfect location with many accesses to the beach wich is beside .. to be honest , i only go there for the indoor surfing .. more like an addiction

I like water parks.It’s so funny.I like more long water slides.They are speed.And there are some water parks like horror tunnel or with a lot surprises.I like those more.It’s like to be in adventurous,hazardous trip.

Water or as they also can be called Aqua Parks are the wonderful places to spend time. :)

I have visited Aqua Park of Krakow ( Poland) and Aqua park of Lvov (Ukraine). Both of them are rather good with their design and entertainments.

I can hardly imagine how the wave pools are look like, but I guess it is cool to be there and jump over the waves :)

The large Water Park will have built very soon in my city. I suppose it will be the sophisticated one.

I just wrote many words here. But It lost when I save it. maybe it takes me too much time to type them. the web asks me to register again.shit.

I dream to build one here in my city, then I am sure I can make lots of money, and take happiness to the local people. People in China need entertainment facilities.

But I need much money. and I don’t have.

I like the water park. Everybody likes water in the hot summer.

We only can go to the water pool which are awways cloded with people.

So I bought a plastic pool and set it in my balcony.

My twins likes it. It is a blast to stay in it at home in summer.

Last summer I went to water park in dubai ! It was a amazing place I have ever seen in my life. It was named “vayld vady” and you had to behave in a particular manner…. It was crowded ,however, manegement of that palce was magneficent.

After that fabulous I got flu because of combination of wind ,cold water and hot weather ! bytheway because of that blast I always love water park…...

What is your experience ?

in summer it is so hot. so to cool off it is a good idea to going to a water park and have a blast. but be carful of belly flops

I’ve been to a water park once (Wild Wadi in Dubai) and just loved it! It was in the middle of the summer and the best part was having a blast while cooling off.

I once went to a water park and it was very interesting and full of fun, but some time in summer these type of place crowded and we can not hang out properly. But in summer water park is better idea than road trip. And to belly flop through slide is very sensational and enjoyable.

its cool to go some water park to beat the heat but beach is a batter option i think. ice cream and lots fresh fruit drinks with lemon are my favourits to cool off. i have experienced many blasts with friends and family and its bit funny when u see somone falling belly flop in a huge pool with a sharp sound in water. its good to catch some rays on beach or somewhere to have some vitamin D but dont forget to wear sun protection on your face and body;:). and yes have a stroll on a sand of beach in evening sometime, its cool and refreshing. road trip is a fun itself but watch out while driving.
