Dale:  I think it’s very difficult to have a long-distance relationship.

Amy:  Really? I had one for a while once, and I kind of liked it, because I had so much freedom and independence, you know?

Dale:  Really? I always felt that I needed to be close to the person. How do you think you make it work? How did you make it work?

Amy:  Well, I think you have to be really clear about what the terms of the relationship are. Like, are both people going to be exclusive, or is it going to be more of a casual thing? You have to be very trusting, though.

Dale:  Do you think the amount of distance actually will be damaging to the relationship?

Amy:  Like if you live just in the next town, that might be easier than if you live across the country?

Dale:  Correct. Do you think so?

Amy:  When I was in a long-distance relationship, it was about a two-hour plane ride, so it wasn’t really far, but it was far enough that it was a big deal for us to see each other. Like I said, it worked for awhile, and we definitely talked every day and kept in touch and stuff, but I guess ultimately we both wanted someone who could be there all the time, because it didn’t work out in the end.

Dale:  So I guess I’m right.

Amy:  I guess so.

Discussion

Dale is definitely not interested in having a long-distance relationship. He prefers to be in the same place as the person he’s dating.

Amy, on the other hand, thinks long-distance relationships are not all that bad. She likes the independence she was able to maintain when she was in one. She does realize that maintaining this kind of relationship requires great communication, and lots of trust between the two people, however.

Amy’s long-distance relationship wasn’t easy. The person she was dating was a two-hour plane ride away. In the end, even Amy admits that a long-distance relationship is difficult to maintain in the long run.

Have you ever been in a long-distance relationship? Did it work out? Why or why not?

it’s not only one but two to sacrifice, it take two to tango to have a better relationship. And in long distance relationship you’ll know what youre feeling for each other, if the love you have when you’re near each other is still the same feeling you have when you’re far from that person. If you’re still inlove with that person even you two are miles apart that’s true love. most importantly is the Communication. :)

Marcelolic, distance doesn’t matter as love doesn’t know any limit in anything.

Methinks, there is a kind of lazy love, when a person doesn’t love exactly but tries to love. It makes difference.

Love is unpredictible. What for ones seems impossible for anothers is quite acceptably.

Where there is a will there is a way.

But to be the one whole at a distance is very difficult. At the same time, very often, people live together, and their relations look as a broken vase.

Time and distance are both enemies of love, but I still believe that great love can defeat anything!

I think long distance relationship is a common kind of relationship in this time, due to the advantage of technology. Although it is not easy, it can work! When there is love everything is possible!

I had a long-distance relationship at the beginning everything was really good but after  six months was really hard because you don’t really share the same events together , it is necessary to spend time, and it is not easy to be trusting.

What I think, if you have some common things, the distance is no that crucial factor that can affect the relationship. By common things it can be hobbies, the same inerests, common thoughts and just the fact that somebody on the other part of the world is thinking of you and writes to you –  already make the relationship exciting and interesting. And I agree about that feeling of independance. We’re all leaving in a  life stressed society where most of the time is sacrificed to work. There’s no actually time to all those social gatherings. But long-distance relationship are time savers. You spent 10 or 15 minutes on the net, exchange the messages and the day is brighter and greater. So, it’s a new type of communication and find it quite positive.

Hooray! For long-distance relationship! Laughing

Hi all. t’s so hard to keep a relationship at a distance. When I was a boy I used to try it with a girl which I loved seriously. Yes, I tried but without success.

I was too distracted about everything was near myself, friends, outings, girls, cinema, disco, girls, sport, girls, girls and girls.

Maybe I was too young to undestand the importance of a serious story but I guess it’s better to keep a relationship in a short distance.

Dear Baset, I am grateful to you for the competent explanation of the law that is preached in Islam in connection with marriage.

No doubt, a woman is safer being married. There is only one condition: she must be loved by her husband. No money can make marriage happy without love. Sooner or later, a woman might feel unhappy in such kind of marriage. We all know that law must be executed,  but, unfortunately, life or,  to say more exactly, people amend it in their own way. Maybe they don’t read Qur’an or Bible.

Thank you for the nice wishes.:)

Have all days full of happiness!
