There are many fun things to do in the summer. A lot of those fun things include water. A few of my favorites are water skiing and swimming.
Last weekend a group of us here at Ebaby! went rafting. Migs, Tanis, Brett and I were all there, as well as some of our friends.
Check out the lesson below on our raft trip and hopefully you can learn a thing or two!

Last weekend a bunch of us went on a two-day raft trip. There were 13 of us, so we used three rafts. Some rafts are built so that everyone has a paddle to help steer. Our rafts had one set of oars so only one person was in control.
In the raft we also had coolers. We had one “wet cooler” for all the drinks, and one “dry cooler” for all the food. There were life jackets for everyone. And of course water weapons for water fights. Some people brought squirt guns, while other boats used buckets.
The river was pretty high this year so the current wasn’t as strong. A high river also means tamer rapids. It was still exciting though as a few of the rapids were Class 3. We survived the rapids and no boats capsized.
It was very hot on the river, probably 100 degrees. Everyone wore their swimsuits, sunglasses and lots of sunscreen. Some people wore hats to protect them from the sun. Two days in the sun is a long time. Especially if you don’t have a good tan!
By the time we were done, everyone was very tired. It had been two days in the sun, having lots of fun. We’re definitely doing it again next year!

Summer sports are very fun. What kinds of sports or activities do you like? Please come by the Message Board to share with the other Ebaby! members!
Because most summer activities involve water, please be safe and wear life jackets. And remember, have lots and lots of fun!
Your American Friend,
John
