2. Read and Prepare - Read the introduction and prepare to hear the audio.

One of the greatest benefits of learning English is that English is spoken all over the world, and knowing it can help you communicate if you go to a new place. No matter where you go, traveling can give a great opportunity to practice using your English. You can often use English as a common language if you’re in a country with a native language different from your own.
If you are planning to travel soon, or if you just like to fantasize about traveling, read on to learn about some great travel resources.

1. Listen and Read - Listen to the audio and read the dialog at the same time.

There are hundreds of websites with information about traveling. Some are better than others. The list below contains 4 sites that are guaranteed to be helpful!
I GO U GO is a community website where real people share their travel experiences. You can read travel journals covering thousands of travel destinations and see over 75,000 photos. You can also interact with other members – so if you have a question about a specific place you can get an answer from someone who’s been there.
Lonely Planet makes some of the best travel books available. They also have a great website. Their worldguide contains extensive information about nearly every country, city and village in the world. Also, their thorn tree travel forum is a great place to post questions and get answers from people in the know.
iAgora is a wonderful resource for traveling students and those who are interested in working in another country. The site features 6 main sections which cover just about everything a traveler could need: iWork, iStudy, iHousing, i-Hotels, iTravel and iPeople.
BootsnAll is a great place to find practical information about traveling, provided by people who have traveled the world. If you need to find a hostel, a train pass or a plane ticket, this site is a good place to start. Also, there’s a great section called Travel Stories which contains personal and humorous accounts of what it was like on the road.

I love to travel because it gives me a chance to experience other cultures and interact with people who are much different than myself. I lived in Japan for three years and have traveled to many countries in Europe, but I still have a hunger for traveling. I often look through these websites to find inspiration. Hopefully, I’ll soon get a chance to go somewhere I’ve never been!
Have a great week!
