Allison |
Steph: Hey. Do you have any dates for Valentine’s Day?
Allison: Not yet.
Steph: You’re still waiting, huh?
Allison: Got my fingers crossed.
Steph: Got a couple of boys in mind?
Allison: Um, a few.
Steph: Oh yeah? Cool. Are you gonna ask them out or were you waiting for them to ask you out?
Allison: I’ll wait. But if I have to, I’ll ask.
Steph: Do you prefer one over the other?
Allison: Um, I like them all. They’re different.
Steph: What if one asks you and then the other one asks you?
Allison: I guess the early bird catches the worm.

I never really paid much attention to Valentine’s Day before, but this year is different. Maybe it’s because I am a newlywed and am still living in newlywed bliss.
Whatever it is, I have thought a lot about V-Day. It just seems more important this year. Many of my friends, like Allison, are still checking out guys.
I think that’s cool because she can choose between a few different guys.
