Joe:  I could have sworn this weekend, when I was rolling around, that I saw you going inside the movie theater.

Chad:  Yeah. That’s right. And I went to see America’s Sweethearts. It’s kinda, you know… I was apprehensive at the beginning ‘cause its got John Cusack, and he was in a lot of eighties movies that were sorta sappy, but he was pretty good and it was a pretty good mix of neat actors… Billy Crystal, Julia Roberts – really made a sorta boring plot, average plot, a pretty good movie.

Joe:  Wow, that’s, that’s pretty cool. John Cusack – I remember him doing a lot of those 80’s, kind of preppy, kind of, ah, hipster type movies.

Chad:  Yeah. Yeah totally. But he was good. He was believable. He was this leading man, you know, one of America’s top actors… played alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones and Julia Roberts was the sister who was always just a friend, but in the end turned out to be a romantic, you know, interest to this John Cusack guy. You know it’s funny, definitely the best part of the movie was this, ah, the, the dog scene with Billy Crystal. You gotta check out the movie just for that. It’ll leave you laughing for days.

Joe:  Well I’ll have to check that out.

Discussion

Julia Roberts seems to steal the show in America’s Sweethearts. I’ve heard that she is actually fat in some parts of the movie. She had to wear a fat-suit to look 60 pounds overweight.
John Cusack is naturally funny in this film and one of my favortie actors. He has starred in comedies such as Say Anything and One Crazy Summer. He looks like “the guy next door” or someone you would have a crush on in school.
Who do you like better, Julia Roberts or John Cusack? Which of their movies do you like best? I’ll definitely share my favorite movies on the Movie Madness message board.
Check out the quiz below and I’ll see you next week,
Nedra
