Chad: Of all the must see movies out, previewing lately, the one that intrigues me the most, even though I haven’t seen it, is A Beautiful Mind. Have you seen it?
Nedra: Yeah, that’s a great movie. I recommend it to anyone.
Chad: So what makes it so, so cool? The plot, the delving into the character, or the acting?
Nedra: I think, uh, the acting, uh, Russell Crowe[/def] portrays uh, John Nash really well. He, um, demonstrates his struggles throughout his life.
Chad: Wow. Was it a predictable movie?
Nedra: Um, not at all. I think, uh, part way through the movie most of the audience members were really surprised about what happened.
Chad: So at the end, was the audience fulfilled? Did they really like it? Do you think?
Nedra: Um, yeah, I think it it gave you a good sense of, um, who the man was and what he went through his whole life.

Russel Crowe is John Nash, a mathematician who attended Princeton. After graduating, he worked and taught at MIT where he was hired to do secret code-breaking.
Ron Howard, the director, did an excellent job of showing the audience how Nash saw codes and patterns. I think it’s hard to demostrate how the human minds thinks and calculates problems. After watching this movie, I got excited about math and felt like I needed to go and do some Algebra. There’s more to the story than just math, but I don’t want to ruin it for you. Check it out for yourself.
