‘Reutlinger Nachrichten’ says that owners of mountainbikes often ignore regular paths and instead just have a wild ride through nature – often even doing some stunts like making the bike jump or only use one wheel. What they may not know is that by doing so they damage the soil and cause erosion which is bad for nature and for the people from the surroundings who depend on farming.

‘Reutlinger Nachrichten” says that the German initiative ‘Furnier + Natur’ now created furniture of cardboard that actually look as if they were made of wood and also seem to be just as strong and at least last for up to 10 years. The difference is that these are more environmentally-friendly than their wooden counterparts.

‘Reutlinger Nachrichten’ says that last year in Germany an estimated number of 16 homeless people got killed and another 169 were injured. In Germany many stores throw away food that actually would still be perfectly edible – just because there is a limit set as to how long which food can be kept in a store. Workers are not allowed to take this food home or to give it away for free to customers and can legally be dismissed if they do. Also you can get arrested in Germany for searching the supermarket containers for edible food. Thus a Jesuit monk and some volunteers now wanted to set a sign against this law they call ‘stupid’. ‘Reutlinger Nachrichten’ says that they took still edible food from a store’s containers to give these goods to the poor. Someone called the police, but the two police officers that were ordered to go there didn’t intervene, because they liked what these people did.
