Lesson
I just had 2 late night cups of coffee. Now I can't sleep. I knew that would happen but for some weird reason I did it anyway. Ha.
I thought I might as well be useful and write another lesson.
I just thought of the phrase, "I could see that from a mile away".
A "mile" is a distance. Americans use it. It is about 1.6 Kilometers. Anyway, the meaning of the phrase is that something was very predicable. Not surprising at all.
Here are a couple examples.
I can't believe that Steve is surprised his girlfriend broke up with him. Everyone else could see it coming from a mile away.
The home prices in the USA dropped a lot. Many economists could see this problem from a mile away but the government didn't want to listen.
I've been making a lot of these Online lessons. Check out day of of my Online Course
