How do I know that he hasn't? Because most of the people that have commented on this thread haven't. Especially thosre from the deeper middle East. But this definitely doesn't stop them from stereotyping and making sweeping statements about all Jews. I think it's important to point this fact out.

Olmert? No. Jews  and Israelis alike hate Olmert. But for all the different reasons that you would expect. I dislike Olmert too and will be glad to see hom go.

He's seen as weak, corrupt and led Israel unprepared to a war in Lebanon. I'm surprised the world doesn't prefer Olmert given that he's been among ISrael's softest, pro peace leaders, who only took military action when either Hezbollah or Hamas struckthe first blow.

However, support for Israel among Jews is unanimous. The attack on Gaza wasn't Olmert's decision, but the decision of the State of Israel to stop the rocket attacks, and was supported by most of the mainstream political parties in Israel. 

Jews living outside of Israel widely supported the Gaza operation. A poll I read showed US Jewish supportst around 80 percent.  Israel is the JEWISH state and therefore is widely supported by Jews all over the world in the face of aggression.
