Being a Vegatarian

Many people in the world don't eat meat these days. For a variety of reasons. Let's talk about it. Why did you quit eating meat? What are the benefits to yourself and the world by not eating meat? Something is wrong with the topic. What is it? There's a start…

I´m a vegetarian,I don´t eat any kind of animals since the year 2001.

Before that,I used to eat everything,but I felt bad,with stomachache ,and I always liked the idea to be a vegetarian.

My reason is: I really love animals.

A fish,a cat,a cow,it´s all the same for me,they deserve to be respected and loved.

I feel great eating just vegetables.

And the forests here in my country is getting shorter and shorter because they´re burning there to have more cows for ppl eat. 

The question about why do we have "canine" teeth: This is similar to many of life's mysteries. Why is there air? What is love? If someone is tall and strong, are they natural leaders? If bananas cannot grow near where I live here in the northern US, does it mean that I am not meant to eat them?

We are lucky enough to have choices about what we will and will not eat. I don't think anyone has proven that man needs to eat animals to survive and flourish. One exception might be where it is difficult to find vegetation, say in Greenland in the dead of winter. Before there, it was eat animals or die. This is fortunately changing, too.

There are energy issues involved in meat for food. It is very wasteful and costly to raise, process and deliver animals for food. Now there is discussion that this industry is a key problem in global warming. For sure it is a source of increased fuel prices. It is so very costly to feed animals and to ship them. By being a vegetarian you help knock out a layer of great expense in the food chain and help the environment at the same time.

we have circulating policies to keep our choices and take after of jobs.and extending our lives to think about energy issues.

Here in the US at supermarkets anyone can get most any fruit or vegetable from around the world – for a price.

Are there any fruits or vegetables that you can get cheaply or pick from the soil, tree or bush near where you live?

Here in Michigan it is easy to find Apples in the late summer or early Autumn. Therefore, Apples are very inexpensive at that time here. The same with Tomatoes. Blackberries, Raspberries and Grapes, too.

Well,thanks worldmikel,My father fed me a lot of apples and pear during being at home.now I am preparing for leaving.we have a house in the mountain.my grandmother often pick vegetables and greens from the soil there.but sorry I can not tell it.I think my brother will tell you something different about US.Our food are mixed.we eat vegetables and meat at the same time then fruits.and I read news that Our banker had ever metioned it.and our environmental theory are mixed,too.because it involve many territories.but it`s for building system up.maybe you can read "Bencao Gan mu"or"Herbailis Manual".the man he clean plants funcitions out in china.I think that is not totally right.something wait to be proven.but can draw knowledge in other view.

Hi~worldmikel,In my hometown now.umm..I think one of reasons I am here shanghai,china is looking for his parents.he came back here several years ago and entrusted an organization to help him.but I found the organization has a history.I think it cause losing some clues.

 i don't know why y do eat meat,but i see that meat contain plentful nutrition for growing up.Such as protein, fat and great trace element，all of these are needed by body.
