Conflicts

         May I ask this question? If someone says " I have conflicts, I cannot participate the meeting", what does he/she mean? Because he/she has to do other things or because he/she has some arguements with someone in the meeting? Thank you very much  and please have a nice day.

Hi! The word "conflict" can mean both an argument with someone or scheduling problem (other things to do). In this case, the speaker probably means that he/she has something else to do. He/she has a "scheduling conflict."
