Hi again! Jason is using “though” to mean “but” or “however.” And “mean by” means “intend to say” or “mean to say.” For instance:


A: “What did you mean by your comment about my hair being shorter?”


B: “I didn’t mean anything negative. I just noticed that you’d cut it.”
