“I think you haven’t read my previous mail to you. In that I have clearly mentioned that my AVAST has started working once again automatically. I didn’t have to do anything about it. So do you think I still need to uninstall it completely and then re install it? What do you suggest?”


I would like to know that in a letter or mail if you once use Present Perfect Tense then is it mandatory that I need to keep using the same tense for the rest of the part of it, or I can also use Simple Past Tense as well whenever I need to use it?

I’m happy to hear that your AVAST has started working again. I am not qualified to give you any technical advice, though.



Generally, a body of work, such as an essay or a letter, should be written in one tense. However, your question would depend on the context. There may be a time when one or more sentences could be written in present perfect while the rest of the body would use simple past.
