Lily:  Yeah! Come on. Everybody’s got a dream job.


I don’t understand what it means “Everybody’s got a dream job”.


First, what’s the ”’s” short for here?


Everybody has got a dream job? Obviously not because the past participle of get should be “gotten” instead of “got”. It’s not grammatical. 


Everybody is got a dream job? Evern worse, sounds like passive voice? 



What’s this sentence mean? Everybody’s got a dream job.

Your first interpretation is correct.


“Everybody’s got a dream job” = “Everbody has got a dream job,” or, “Everybody has a dream job.”


“Has got” is American English slang for “has.” “Got” is not tensed when combined with “has” to show possession. 


While the expression “has got” is not recommended for formal writing in English, it’s commonly used by native speakers. The English, Baby! dialogs model everyday conversations a person might encounter in the US.
