(n.) To be someone who uses other people for their money.

Background: American hip-hop artist Kanye West had a popular song called "Gold Digger." As an idiom, a gold digger is a term for someone who uses another person (usually romantically) for his or her money. For example, people said that Anna Nicole Smith was a gold digger when she married an 89-year-old billionaire when she was only 26.

Example: Matt is a gold digger. He's been going on dates with the 75-year-old heiress to the telephone company.

Mercedes is such a gold digger. She doesn't have a job but she spends time with millionaires at the fancy bars.

heir (masculine)/heiress (feminine): Someone who's going to inherit a fortune.

fancy: very nice or upscale.

gold digger is usually i guess it's a girl who hunts for well-to-do people to own their or at least a part of their money besides by any means.I had friends of this type of gals.Anyway we are everybody kinda diggers for something,someone hunts for dough,someone for brand-new cars or something,someone for happiness,but all these stuffs ain't the same!
