I've received quite a few messages lately about Christmas in Canada, the traditions and the customs. Instead of answering each message, I decided to make entries in my blog on this topic so everyone could read about it. 

Right now, at least here in Toronto, the weather is cold and there is snow on the ground. That's the first ingredient for a perfect Christmas. Yesterday, my family went out to my father-in-laws tree farm and cut our Christmas tree. There was no room in the car for it so he will deliver it next week when he visits. Each year we choose an evergreen tree to put in our living room. When it is up and stable, we decorate it with strings of lights and many other decorations, some purchased and some home-made. 

Once the tree is decorated presents appear beneath it, as if by magic! There is a tradition here that involves checking out who is going to get the biggest box! It's a wonderful time of year for the family to be together and spend time laughing and doing traditional Christmas things. More about this in my next blog entry.

anyways, i hav to celebrate my christmas at the beach for sure cuz mt family r making a trip there~~~-_- thrid times of this year for da beah im so full of it T_T i need snow!!!!!!!

Wow,sounds great.

I'm Chinese,in our country,the big day is The Spring Festival. This day is also the time when the largest human migration takes place when overseas Chinese all around the world return home on the eve of Chinese New Year to haveChuxi  reunion dinners with their families.

In China,  Chu  means "get rid of" and xi means the day of the legendary man-eating beast. It preys once a year on New Year Eve. When it arrived,  people used firecrackers to scare him away.

So eat Chuxi dinnerset and set off the firecrackers in this day is our tradition.

It sounds great!

people in China don't pay more attention to christmas day,and we have no holiday to selebrate either,but all the younglings like the festival very much,and we can see almost  the emporiums are decorated with christmas trees and other things,it looks beautiful!

the weather report said it will snow tomorrow,i like snow very much,it's good for plants,and good for the approaching christmas,maybe not good for chafficTongue outhaha

Wow wow, sounds fantastic! I'm buddhist so christmas is nothing to me but from what was written here, i can imagine how great fun it would be on christmas. I love snow but have never seen it lol,,,i always dream about my christmas in a house while it is snowing outside, it must be really awesome,,Anyway, i like your story :D
