Hi Crew! It's been a while since I've been around but that's because I've been busy with my new writing career. I'm lucky enough to be a professional writer now! Yay!

My latest assignment is about computing in different parts of the world. Since the magazine I write for is all about hardware, maybe some of you can give me some help.

What's popular where you are? Are there any gadgets or things that might be unusual? What is considered a fast  computer where you live? Do many of your friends and neighbours have their own computers? How about your school? Are there still computer rooms or does everyone have their own?

If you can send me a message here, that would be great. If you don't know much about computers, maybe you could introduce me to someone who does. Thanks!

Hello,dear  Mapleleaf man, how are you?well,In my collage,most of people using lenovo computer .included  my friends and i . most of my friends have their own computer,because we need a computer to finish our CAD homeworke . we have two computer rooms besides four computer classrooms in my colledge. so that we can know somthing new on the net. as for something popular,i think maybe is self study (A popular thing have a very long history )and learn music and taking about Japan nuclear problem.I hope it's use to you.

 Hello dear Mapleleafman, nice to meet you. I am not sure my contribution to your work will be a great one but I will comment anyway: as you know Russia is a large country and I cannot describe the problem from the point of view of all the area but as to my region (The Republic of Sakha) I can specify the following: we have a plenty of companies offering hardware and software but all new things appearing in this sphere come to our region after some time. I mean the newest hardware and software firstly appear in big central cities and only after some time people from remote areas are able to get and use them. Even right now we have neither ipads nor ipods here. WiFi is smth very rare here too, only in some parts of the town you can use it. But we have computers and laptops of the major manufacturers. I have a laptop at home, Asus, my friends have desk computers. The same is at my working place. I can say that about 50-70% of the population of my city (nearly 300 000 people in total) have computers at home and at work. The schools…we have special computer classes. The kids here don’t use computers at the lessons but they are very good users at home for playing games and the Internet. As well there are territories where you can find only one computer over 1000 km2. Such places are schools and post offices as they have Internet access. And there are no any shops selling computers at all.The most popular are: Athlon, Intel, Asus, Acer, BenQ, Soni, LG, Samsung, Pentium.Hope it will be helpful.
