Hi Everybody,how are you in these days? It's ok for me,studying as well as working.

Today , I learned some new vocabularies ,and share them with you all.

1.Popped the question: Informal. To propose marriage.

For example:

Jack:” Betty, will you marry me?"

Betty was so happy. She told her best friend next day:” Jack and I are going to be married next month. He popped the question last night, suddenly and unexpectedly, when we were walking in the park. I'm so happy!"

2.Pop in: To visit briefly: just popped by to say hello,same as drop in;visit;pay a visit.

For example:

a.Jane phoned to her friends Selma ,"Selma, I'm going to be near your place tonight. Is it OK if I pop in for a minute?"

b.I was passing by, noticed the light was on, so I thought I would just pop in for a chat.

3.Popped out: exit briefly; move out of or depart from; leave the room,same as exit, get out, go out, leave.

For example:

a.Jon phoned his brother

"Peter, where have you been? I phoned you several times this afternoon."

Perter:" Oh, I popped out to take the dog for a walk. Sorry! Why don't you pop in this evening?"

b.I'm going to pop out to the shops for ten minutes. Don't answer the door if anyone calls.

4.pop up: appear suddenly or unexpectedly

For example:

a.Jane phoned to her husband , "Don, Mrs. Short on the tenth floor has a problem with her TV. Will you pop up this evening helping her?"

b.I hadn't seen him for years. Then he just popped up one day at the club we used to belong to.

5.pop over: arrive quickly

For example:

a.“Jimmy, we don't have any sugar. Will you pop over the road to the shop and buy a packer?"

b.My new neighbors across the road had just moved in so I popped over to see them.

6.pop round:visit sb.(the time is not comfirmed)

For example:

a.“Bob, old Mr.Smith on the second floor is very lonely. I said I'd pop round tonight and keep him company."

b.A&B ''s conversation

A: Would you like to pop round one night this week? Would Wednesday evening suit you?

B: I’d love to

7.popped into: To move quickly or unexpectedly

For example:

a.Sam & Brenda 's conversation

“Sam, where did you buy that beautiful tie?"

Sam:" I needed a new tie, so I popped into the department store and bought it."

b.The farm popped into view as we turned the corner.

pop your clogs (British, humorous) to die. This place hasn't been the same since poor old Harry popped his clogs. pop pills to take too many pills. Soon she was popping pills again in an effort to cope with the increasing pressure of her job. (usually in continuous tenses)  your eyes pop out of your head to show surprise. My sister showed me the ring Jim gave her, and my eyes popped out of my head, it was so beautiful.pop off to complain angrily about something. Neal popped off in a nationally televised interview. Those owners are always popping off about the difficulty of competing against wealthy teams.pop up

to appear suddenly. After World War II, pizzerias popped up in every city in the nation.

Pop quiz A pop quiz is a quiz given to the class without prior warning. The practice is commonly used by teachers in high schools and undergraduate programs in the USA. The had teacher surprised us all with an early pop quiz that morning – fortunately none of us failed for we all had been untimely sick that morning of the “surprise” test and where unable to take the test.

Today is Sat.,and so hot in HZ,I went to School again,but didn't have more communication,duing to early time.I just funished my listening class then back home.Because of lacking sleeping , I had a sleep once back in dorm.I feel so tired. Just now I openned the email,there were some emails from Englishbaby,that's very wonderful,I feel great. Hey you guys, welcome to my blog, and communicate with you all.

Today is fine in HangZhou ,  let me feel comforatable,because it signs autumn have come.Cool
