Rinca Island landscape

Rinca Island is a part of Komodo National Park while there so many Komodo dragons found here, this island more isolated and more nature then komodo island, the people never feeds the dragon and most of them are very wild, People said that Rinca Island is better then Komodo Island to see wild komodo dragons. Many names have been given to this island such as Rindja, Rincah and Pulau Rinca. It is a small island in western Flores close to Komodo Island, East Nusa Tenggara. This is famous as the home of the giants lizard known as the Komodo Dragon it was thought to be a myth until the turn of the century, when fishermen who were forced by a storm to take shelter on Komodo sight the monsters. Scientist called them as a Varanus Komodoensis, the world's largest monitor lizard, when full grown it measures up to 3.13 meters (10 feet 2 inches) in length and weight anything up to 165.9 kg (365 pounds).
Sunset in Rinca Island Rinca is also famous with the wonderful view. The island consists mostly of steep rockey slopes covered in parched brown grasses, with drought- resistant lontar palms and hardy shrubs providing the only real vegetation. The arid landscape is the result of hot dry winds from the Australian continent.
