Today I went to an oral surgeon to have a tooth extracted (removed). It had a vertical crack at the root, which the dentist said is a "death sentence" for a tooth. I'll be getting an "implant", which is an artificial tooth. But first, the area where the tooth was has to heal. I'll be getting a temporary tooth to fill the gap in two days. For now, here's my current "smile":
