Love is the bridge that leads from the I sense to the We, and there is a paradox about personal love. Love of another individual opens a new relation between the personality and the world. The lover responds in a new way to nature and may even write poetry. Love is affirmation; it motivates the yes responses and the sense of wider communication. Love casts out fear, and in the security of this togetherness we find contentment, courage. We no longer fear the age-old-haunting questions: "Who am I?" "Where am I going?" - and having cast out fear, we can be honest and charitable.

"To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering one must not love. But then one suffers from not loving. Therefore, to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer. To suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy then is to suffer. But suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness."

Ola, absolutely, I coul not agree with you more. You put it very beautifully and clearly. :)

Snoopy, to err is human, so without my past actions and mistakes, I would not be myself today. I would not have this well-set personality of mine. I am perfectionist so whatever responsibility I take on, I try my hardest to handle it as perfectly as possible. No one can ever suggest the opposite, but I am not flawless. Being truly perfect in every aspect of life would make me quite an ordinary person. Who else would criticize me either positively or negatively if I was born as a flawless person? :)

As for romantic relationships, there is no couple that completes each other utterly perfectly in every ways. Having opposite ideas, not always, adds zest and joy to the relationship. I get some doubts, too, when a person that I meet newly displays extremely good manners, because it ends in frustration consequently, so it makes me feel a bit uncomfortable.

" come clean or don't come at all"

Problems start when you realize that your soulmate was in the end just like anyone else , not perfect. Flaws only make qualities more appreciable. At least, that how I see it.

I get worried when a girl seems to good to be true,

Mess,  agree when you're in love, especially the first experiences, you don't see imperfection even if you see them, the guy/girl is just what you need. But it's unitl the first "blows" the "perfect" lover will inflict on you. And still, you'll be a little bit blind. So, the time, experience will put everything in its place and then after that fiasco, you'll be seeking other qualities rather than appearance... Though, I agree, we're not robots... Anyway, love is a very good feeling... it energizes us.

Ola, I agree with you. What makes me think is that when one is in love, he/she is truly blinded by the magical power of love. He/she does not see the faults of the other person. He/she is the one and only for you, and the perfect man or woman of your life. His/her flows seem quite normal to you, even if you seek for perfection (no one is perfect!). It's really weird when you think of it this way, right?

Being perfect is not about being fluent in English, German or Spanish. It is not about winning the lottery. It is not about being rich and living in the lap of luxury. It is about you and your relationship with yourself, your family and your friends.

Being perfect is about being able to look your beloved ones in the eye and know that you did not let them down because you told them the truth. And that truth is you did everything you could. There was not one more thing you could have done. Can you live in that moment as best as you can, with clear eyes, and love in your heart, with joy in your heart? If you can do that, you are perfect!

Hi friends,

Thanks for your wonderful comments.

Parion, you are most welcome. I agree with you. The world itself has its own flaws, so how could we not? We always seek for perfection and we get close to that but no one is perfect, indeed. If we were all perfect, then we wouldn't be seeking for it and experiencing.

Reader, your poems are meaningful. What I appreciate most about you is that you can put your ideas into lines beautifully and courageously.

Anarcho, thanks alot. It's great to see you again! How is life going so far?

Ola, you read my mind very well. Great minds think alike! Laughing

Nice topic!

I think to be perfect is to respect other people's rights, to be a master of yourself, be honest, say the truth, develop your intellectual skills, be inquisitive... to act like a human being...

How much time I've been spending

searching, prying and relenting,

for time flying into dark channel

along with simmering fumble.

What a foe are we imgining,

in an invisible sinking,

into a bottomless hole,

conjured up by our hell!

Agonies are accompanied with grief,

released by waves of human-self,

reinforced in fearful void,

marching day after day.

Heeled over in the wind,

reeled by all-directional rattle,

we grope for a portal

as a shelter to take on the mantle.
