The shifts of fortune test the reliability of friends.---Cicero---
Four things come not back:
the spoken word,
the sped arrow,
the past,
the neglected opportunity.
--------Omar Ibn Al-Halif--------
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning to dance in the rain.

Every person's desire motivates him. It gives zest and vigor to life. To cease desiring is to quit living and start dying.Reasonable desire can be reasonably attained provided the necessary thought and effort are put forth. For instance, if you would have fish,get a net and drop it in the water;if they are not there,pick another fishing hole.
We may never get all we want;the list may be too long for so few years. But actually, there is more peace in wanting what we get than in getting what we want. And there is more ecstasy in the chase than in the catch.

Thy wish was father to that thought.

May it never be said of any of us,"He made a living but never lived."Making a living is important but never as an end within itself---only as a means to living.
Life isn't a bed of roses,but it can be a rose garden.It will have some thorns that prick but also a thousand roses to adorn our paths and to provide a delightful aroma. Though life has its pricks,caution will lessen them. Also,gathering a few roses to hand to others will enliven us. And taking time to enjoy the rose-scented air will invigorate us. It is living.
Time hurries past thee like the breeze;
How swift its moments fly,
Make haste, O man! to live.
--------Horatius Bonar------
Forsake the foolish, and live...
