For it tramples me again. 

The old resentment lasts like death, 

For you love, yet you refrain. 

I break my heart on your hard unfaith, 

And I break my heart in vain. 

Yet not for an hour do I wish undone 

The deed beyond the grave, 

When I was a King in Babylon 

And you were a Virgin Slave

นับแต่นั้น จอมราชันแห่งบาบิลอนทรงบัญชา

ประกาศิตให้แสงแห่งตะวันขึ้นและฉายส่องนับแสนนับล้านครั้ง

..เหนือสุสานนาง

ผู้ครั้งหนึ่งเคยเป็นนางทาสใต้เบื้องบาทจอมอัครา

ศักดิ์ศรีที่ข้าเคยใช้บาทเหยียบย่ำ

.. บัดนี้ มันกลายเป็นสิ่งที่ทำร้ายข้า

ด้วยว่ามันย้อนกลับมา

เหยียบหยามย่ำดวงใจข้าปางตาย

ความสำนึกเสียใจในครั้งเก่า

มันฝังนานรานร้าวยิ่งกว่าความตาย

เพื่อเจ้า เจ้าผู้เป็นที่รัก

แต่มิเคยสักครั้งจะปล่อยให้ข้าครอบครองหัวใจ

เมื่อข้าหยามข้าย่ำดวงใจเจ้าแหลก

แลกกับความทรนงที่เจ้ามิยอมลงให้

ด้วยหลงในขัตติยะมานะ

...จึงได้ทำร้ายดวงใจข้าเองแหลกมลาย...
