Olya, thank you for the extensive explanation of the reasons to lie. We are all not saints, thats true. It’s called holly lie when a person tells it in order to extricate himself from a difficult situation, wants to flatter somebody etc.
But there are pathological liars who believe in their own lies making others fools or what is worse unhappy. We can’t believe everyone and more over to defend their behaviour.

It’s all comlicated, not easy.
I try to be honest with people. I follow the principle: behave with people such a way that you want them behave with you.
