Help me about writes..... please

Hello sir or madam,

I have a problem about write online diary. I want to know when I write my diary, I must use present simple or past simple tense? or what tense is corrects? Tell me please.

I’m not sure what you mean but I think that if you’re going to write in your diary you should use the past simple tense, since you’ll be writing about the things you did today or yesterday…
For example:

Yesterday I went to the mall and ran into an old friend of mine I hadn’t seen in a long time. Today I woke up early, got out of bed and had breakfast with my family…

Thats just an example but i think that’s what you mean right?
