Indonesian and Malaysian Confusion

The hostility between Indonesia and Malaysia confuses me.  Why don't they like each other?

hi ,where do you know this news,now i am in malaysia ,people here are all friendly to me ,just like chinese people

I have talked to both malaysians and indonesians.  They have both said that they didn't like eachother. I am just looking for the reason.

I was just wondering why they don't because the people I have talked to have been really great.  They are both very friendly peoples.  I would think that they should like eachother…

i understand what you want to talk to us,  you can find some clues from the history of the two countries,so far as i know , everyday on TV malaysia always brocast indonesia series movies.people  in malaysia also like watching them.

furthermore,we have great relation with them in terms of exchanging

our movies,music,customs, n perhaps love?ahaha..

I didn't know there was hostility between Malaysia and Indonesia. Do they fight over Borneo?

I was talking about a disliking not a fight.

Malaysia is a relatively prosperous country in the region, and this attracts other Asian workers, such as Indonesians and Indians, to the country. Though they contribute a lot to the success of the Malaysian economy, many are still considered as "illegal immigrants".  Punishment can be severe, and could include caning. Even the Indian government has protested about its citizens being caned in the past.

The root of the problem is mainly territorial dispute, plus fighting for natural resources.
