Russia. What do you think about Russia? Have you been in Russia, what your impressions? Would you like to visit Russia, why?

I actually know too little about russians, but I usually like all people, so I guess Russians are nice and interesting :)

russians are good, friendly, clever people, especially, who live in the other countries (wich were in USSR) I'm from Uzbekistan, in our country russians much better, than russians in Moscow or St. Petersburg.. because i have heard many bad thoughts about international people from people in theese cities very often and they don't care about other people. People in Uzbekistan more kind and hospitable.

I'm russian and  i never drink vodka, because i don't like it :) I don't drink any alcohol. beer maybe.. but that's all. People drink vodka often in such cities as Novosibirsk because it's very cold. Sorry for mistakes. I have been learning english approximately 6 months.

To be honest I don't like Russia and i don't want to visit this country. And everything is about history… this soviet system had made very bad things to our country. Many innocent people were killed or exiled to Sibire, where life conditions where horrible.

Despite the fact that we are independent already 20 years, it still can feel this soviet union spirit. In Lithuanian lives very much russians and it's very strange that they live here many years but they refuse to learn our language, because they think that in our country everyone can speak russian, of course old generasion can do this.But for me,russish language is very rude and I don't want learn it.

And I can't understand how can be proud of Soviet Union and think that in this system everything was ok and people were happy. It seems to me that russians do not know real history.And it is just stupid to say that Russia had nor colloborate with Germany, it's history fact and you can't denay it. And i do not think that world must be thankful for Russia that you safed Europe from nacizm. Both ideologies nacizm and komunism were false. And if Soviet Union won 2 world war it doesnt mean that this ideology is better. After second world war was finished, Soviet Union occupied my country and this occupation lasted 50 years and it did a lot of damages. 

Of course everything is just history, and I cannot blame russish people who live nowadays, it is not their fault, but I just wanted to say, that your country must admmit that they had made to other countries and it is nothing to be proud about. Even nowadays sometimes i hear opinions from Russia that there wasn't any occupation and all this countries wit free willing entered Soviet Union. It is not true.What concerns this situation I think that Russia should think like Germany. They are ashamed that did Hitler and they admitt what they did for jews people. And from Russia you can feel that they do not think that anything was wrong in their politic system.

I didn't wanted to say that russish people are bad, I don't have nothing against them, but the way how they understand history is not correct.

P.S I hate when people think that Lithuania is in Russia and lithuanians are russih.

It was very interesting to hear the views of people from different countries. As I expected, in most cases Russian perceived as interesting and friendly people. Thank you for this, hopefully truthful (I hope that we – the Russian people really are :) ) vision. Russia is a very contrasting country – and if you want to become better acquainted with something special – come to visit us (if you want extreme, it is better to do in winter :).
