 I am not sure that Americans as a whole think much about anything other than their own lives. Americans are very provincial in their world view. Though, those Americans who I know are nice people.

In general we are very nice people. And think about more than just their own lives. Americans are some of the most charitable people on Earth. 

In 2005 individual Americans (not the government – PEOPLE) gave 260 billion dollars to charity. 

After the Asian tsunami, Americans (again, NOT the government) donated over 2 billion dollars in food, clothing and cash.  (including a cash donation from my evil satanic president)

  I think american people is not different from other people.they may be proud but they have right to be.because they live in a country where the money gathered.Other country's relationship with America is based on how much they borrow money from IMF or WORLD BANK.

america's welthness based on second world war and the following year's weapon industry.they make money in an easy way,but when the money coming from weapon industry and oil,america will  no longer be a super power of the world.thus this,american people can never born from its ashes.because american people don't have dicipline like japan or german's have.these two country's people have been destroyed in second world war,but now they have a great economy.this is nothing to do with oil or money from the war.this is because they have dicipline in their life and work.

on the one hand many americans protect their traditions,because they practise a religion and belive in the power of old rules.besides they have conservative attitudes,therfore some people are not able to be open according to research for example.furtheron they seem to be very proud.they love their country and have a special relationship to their home and their rudes.But on the other hand many americans are up to date and work hard to reach the ultimate.although new generations show their power and their hope to change the world,there is a difference between social categories.

well,I think any nationality has idiosyncrasis,that's why you can't say one group is bad.honestly say,you can have trouble with people from all parts of the world.besides any nationality has advantages and disadvantages.this is the truth about it ..

judging americans is quite controversial. someone said good, someone said bad. its ok.  all they wanna do is just being based on the stratagem, its pretty much the same in the whole world. the only difference is the way they go. such as someone mentioned interfere other countries, both good and bad.

i dont know much about their conservative attitudes. but i think most of americans are very creative, confident. 

at the same time, the social welfare is getting lower than it used to be, isnt it?  too much financial support for the militray can slow down the economical development.
