Muslims To Make Majority of Earth's Population in Near Future

:-(

India

Every fourth human being living on earth is a Muslim, a report from the department of religion of the US-based Pew Research Center said.

There are 1 billion 570 million Muslims living in the world today, the research said. Brian Grim, a senior researcher at the think-tank said that the number was more than he originally expected.

Up to 60 percent of Muslims live in Asia, 20 percent – in the Middle East and North Africa. The report also mentioned that over 300 million Muslims live in the countries where Islam is not the basic religion.

A recent research from the above-mentioned center said that 58 percent of the polled Americans acknowledged that Muslims were subjected to discrimination most. The poll was held in September, on the threshold of the 9/11 anniversary.

The results of the poll showed that the number of Americans studying Islam has been growing steadily recently. The number of US citizens who consider Islam a source of violence has reduced considerably.

In 2007, 45 percent of Americans considered Islam as a violence-inciting religion, although in 2009 the number reduced to 38 percent. In addition, the number of Americans familiar with peculiarities of Islam increased. The number of people who know that Allah is the Muslim god and Quran is the Muslim holy book increased from 33 percent in 2002 to 41 percent in 2009.

@LEAF:

You're right.

Jews are supposed to support and spread knowledge of the One Gd, and should therefore be pleased that Islam (a religion which to me has obvious Jewish roots) has brought this knowledge to over a billion people.

Jews don't need to convert other people to their religion because Judaism believes all people have a share in the World to Come. There is no consensus on what the 'world to come' is. So assuming its heaven, both Jews and non-Jews go there for being a righteous people.

If it was a true religion it should be spread far and wide dont you think ?

Paganism, Animism and idolatry were spread far and wide once, does that mean that they're true religions?

Also, given that the largest religion in the world is Christianity, do you think that means that it's the true religion?

Number of adherents is proof of nothing. If everyone jumped off a bridge, would you do it too?

Is it just a religion for one society or for the whole mankind ?

Judaism is the religion for Jews, and not for all of mankind. The rest of mankind do not have to practice Judaism to be favoured by gd or to have a share in the world to come.

I hope this answer is clear. Arabhamid has read hundreds of my responses on this topic, so sorry if you feel bored by now.

if anyone can go to heaven by performing righteous deeds then why do Jews practice Judaism ?

Non-Jews can go to heaven by just performing righteous deeds and believing in Gd, i.e. following the Seven Laws of Noah.

Jews on the other hand have to follow the Torah that they were given and its 613 commandments to live by. That is their mission and what gd expects them to do.

So a person who is non Jew but is righteous is equal to any other Jew who is practicing Judaism ?

Yes. The Talmud goes so far as to say this: A non-Jew studying Torah to learn of his obligations is equal in holiness to the High Priest.

Those that follow these:

And yeah so Jews are some special people of God or something ?
because they have to follow all of these commandments as you said

Everyone has their mission from Gd. What they are supposed to accomplish.

The 613 commandments are those given to the Jews. Everyone else in mankind has their role to play as well, just in a different way.

These are the laws that were given to mankind after Noah.

Christians (disputed by some) and Muslims (recognized by all authorities) follow the Noahide Laws and therefore are considered Righteous Gentiles and have a share in the world to come.

Many other religions do this as well. I would say most.

so, the others doesn't apply the first rule, and in this way, they won't havea place in the world to come according to your believes. !!!

Belief in Gd, and not just worshipping a stick, a plant or a stone is important to following these laws, so yes.

However deep down, most people in the world follow these laws without knowing it.

Who gave those Laws ?

To whom they were given ?

Who was the messanger ?

When they were Given ?

Who are concerned by those laws.

Given by Hashem to Noah after the flood that wiped out all of mankind except for his descendants. Thus his descendants, i.e. all of mankind is bound by them.

Really, do you mean that Muslims are Gentiles!!

Gentile just means non-Jew. There is nothing negative to it whatsoever.

but, 40 don't believe in the one God.

and according to your faith, those 40 % don't have a place in the world to come ?

so, what will happen to them ?

Hashem is always the final judge on all, but He has given the standard that he wants people to follow.

Apart from this, you're omitting other belief systems that are no Abrahamic but that do believe in one gd, vaguely believe in a deity and those people of course that have their own beliefs in a gd apart from whatever religion they profess.

Ex: The Zoroastrians, the Sikhs, the Hari Krishna, Cao Dai, Bahais, the Yezidis…
