How to use "effective" and "affective"? It's confusing to me!! Thanks in advance!

Hi there! 

"Affective" means causing strong emotions, as in, "That movie was so affective, it made me cry." "Effective" means producing a desired effect or working well, as in, "Studying every night is the most effective way to do well on exams."

Just remember, "affective" has to do with feelings."Effective" has to do with how well something works.
