About telephone

np36Super Member!

Hello,

How are you? Hope everything is going fine with you.

May I ask about the telephone. So in the office, if I would like to call to another division, can I ask " Which number is the division of Human Resources?", " Can I use this phone for internal line?". And if I would like to call outside the company, can I say " Can I use this phone for external line?", "Which number should I press for external line?"

    Thank you very much.

Hi! All these sentences are clear. However, it would be better to say "What number do I dial for the Human Resources department?" rather than "Which number is the division of Human Resources?"

Also, make sure to place the article "a" in front of internal/external line. So for instance, you would say, "Can I use this phone for an internal line?"

Thanks for your good questions!
