The groom is supposed to wear a flower that appears in the bridal bouquet in his button hole. This stems from the medieval tradition of a knight wearing his lady's colors to declare his love.

In most weddings, the bride carries a bouquet of flowers. The man wears a matching flower on his jacket. This comes from an old tradition. Women from aristocratic families used to wear certain colors to show what family they belonged to. When a man wanted to tell a woman that he loved her, he would wear these special colors.

Sure! Button hole is a part of the jacket. It's where the button goes in so you can close the jacket.
