Hi, I found in American English the pronunciation of like "cop" is more like "cup". How do you exactly differentiate the pronunciation of "o" and "u" in these cases? Thank you.

Hi! The "o" in "cop" makes an "ah" sound, similar to "mom," "mop," or "bond." The "u" in "cup" makes an "uh" sound, like "fun," "gun," or "up."
