Hello, I have two questions. In "John at Subway" of August 10, 2001, at the beginning of the conversation, John says "I'd like a uh, foot long turkey" What does "foot long turkey" mean in this context? is the turkey actually a feet long? Another question is from " Pearl Jam" of August 21 2006. in Vocabulary section, there is an example "The last time I saw Beck, he played an amazing acoustic set and then he totally rocked out."  What does "rock out" mean?

Hi! Great questions. When John orders a  "foot long turkey" he means a turkey sandwich that is a foot long. "Rock out" in this context means that Beck played loud rock music (as opposed to the calmer acoustic music he played first). When you rock out you really enjoy or "get into" the music.
