Hi! It just depends on what the subject of the sentence is. Use “sound like” with I/you/we/they. Use “sounds like” with he/she/it. For example:


“It sounds like the neighbors are having a party.”


“She sounds like a bird when she sings.”


“The fireworks sound like thunder.”


“I sound like a frog when I speak because I’m sick.”
