Company

This is a tricky question! A company is a singular noun. Therefore, we would say, “What does your company do?” However, when people talk about a company, they are often really talking about the people working for it. This is why company is sometimes spoken or written about in a way that makes it sound like a plural noun.

Also, it is more common in British English to treat collective nouns as plural. In American English they are usually treated as singular.
