Around election time, we all need to use our heads. Sometimes, it’s stressful to try to decide who to vote for. When I feel stressed out, I like to watch movies. This week’s movie lesson makes light of politics.

Steph:  Guess what I did last weekend.

Derek:  What did you do last weekend?

Steph:  I voted.

Derek:  You voted?

Steph:  Yeah.

Derek:  Well that’s cool. I just actually voted yesterday.

Steph:  Really? Cool. What would you do if someone you wanted to vote for died in the middle of the campaign?

Derek:  Oh, like in that movie _Head of State**_?

Steph:  Totally. Yeah. You knew exactly what I was talking about.

Derek:  Yeah. It sounded too familiar to pass that one.

Steph:  I know. I can’t believe that they just appointed some guy to be President, ya know, in the middle of a presidential election.

Derek:  Yeah. But it makes for good entertainment.

Steph:  I guess so. It was really funny. He had no experience, politically. And he just moved right in and, ya know, brought his whole family in, and.

Derek:  Well, maybe it would give us a fresh perspective on politics.

Steph:  I think it did. And when I was watching the movie, it was definitely, like, he didn’t have any experience, but it turned out that some of the things he wanted, I wanted too. So, it’s not a bad idea.

Derek:  Yeah. Sounds like a plan, maybe for the next election.

Steph:  Yeah. Well, let’s not plan it too far in advance.

Derek:  OK.
