Air is Jean-Benoît Dunckel and Nicolas Godin. They both grew up in Versailles, France, but didn’t meet until they began studying at the same college. Their first music group was called Orange, but they changed the name when a third member left to make music on his own.
Air’s best songs are usually a mix of rich, smooth acoustic guitars mixed with complex electronic beats and sounds. The second song on Talkie Walkie is a perfect example. It’s called “Cherry Blossom Girl.” Check out some of the lyrics.
*I never talk to you
People say that I should
I can pray everyday
For the moment to come
Cherry blossom girl
I just want to be sure
When I will come to you
When the time will be gone
You will be by my side
Cherry Blossom Girl *

Discussion
Although I’ve liked their music for several years, I didn’t know much about Air until I bought Talkie Walkie last week. I realized I really liked the album, so I researched them on the internet. It turns out that they’ve made a lot of great music since 1998. I’m excited to hear some of their other albums.
If you like electronic music created by people like Moby, Fatboy Slim and Dirty Vegas, you might like Air. You should take some time to give Talkie Walkie a listen.
Rock on,
Migs
