Derek: Hey Steph, have you heard about that band Sleater-Kinney?
Steph: Yeah. They’ve been around for a while. They actually live in Oregon.
Derek: They do now, don’t they?
Steph: Yeah. They’ve been on tour for a little while and they’re in Europe right now.
Derek: That’s cool. I’ve been reading a little bit about them and they’re gaining in popularity.
Steph: Totally. Have you heard anything about their new album?
Derek: I haven’t yet. But, ya know, I was just getting around to it.
Steph: Yeah. Well we should pick up a copy and try it out, listen to it at the office.
Derek: Yeah we gotta support those local bands.
Steph: Yeah. Exactly. Pretty soon they’re going to outgrow being local.
Derek: That’s true.

Sleater-Kinney is the name of a town in Washington State, which is right next to Oregon, to the north.
The band Sleater-Kinney is from the NW, but they are not from that town. I do like the name, though. Plus these girls can rock!
Have you heard any of their music? Try to find their website and listen to their tracks.
