Marni: So, I finally saw Borat last night.
Devan: Oh my God, did you love it?
Marni: You know what? It was one of those films that I was like, “Don’t believe the hype.” I just resisted it for a long time because everybody kept talking about how great it was, and I was like, “It can’t be that great.” And I have strange sense of humor, but I loved it. I thought it was great. I thought it was just right on.
Devan: Me too. Did you know that Kid Rock divorced Pamela Anderson because of her being in that movie?
Marni: I heard about that and I was so shocked after I saw her performance why he would do that. Like I thought maybe she just went totally over the top but…
Devan: The real question is, why would you marry Kid Rock in the first place.
Marni: Well that is a good…But on the subject of Borat and I have to say I was thinking a lot about him and his actions and he kind of pushes the envelope but what I thought was really interesting was the way Americans were portrayed in that and how terrible a picture of Americans you’d get if you were from another country and didn’t know much about us.
Devan: It’s hilarious, but also makes you embarassed a little bit.
Marni: Yeah, just how ignorant and how really he brings out the worst in people.
Devan: I think all Americans should see that movie.
Marni: I agree. I agree. I loved it.
