We are happy to announce that we have added another person, Chad, to the Ebaby! team. He is a great guy who has lived in the Dominican Republic and Guatemala. He understands how difficult it is to learn a language and wants to help!
Here you can listen to a conversation we had about his recent move. Check it out!

John: So, Chad. You just had a big move?
Chad: I did! We were down in Keizer. Moved all the way to Portland.
John: How far is that?
Chad: Uh, it’s about a fifty-mile move.
John: And, uh, how’s the new house compared to the old house?
Chad: The new house is old actually.
John: Oh.
Chad: It’s like a 1945, uh, vintage cottage, uh, looking ranch-style home if that makes sense.
John: Well that sounds pretty cool!
Chad: Yeah! Yeah, the other home was just one of these new cookie-cutter, you know, tract homes that was small – no yard. This one’s got a huge yard.
John: Oh, nice! So, was the actual move tough? Did it take a while or did you get it all done in one weekend?
Chad: Well, all the packing took three, four days. ‘Course my wife did that, luckily. Uh, the actual physical moving, the labor, we brought a bunch of friends over, took us about eight hours.
John: So you made it kinda like a party?
Chad: We did. We actually lured, uh, some youth with pizza!
John: Oh great!
Chad: We said, “If you help us move the first load, we’ll have pizza between the first and the second load.”
John: You know it’s not only youth that gets lured by pizza!
Chad: That’s true!

Discussion
It will be great having Chad on the team. He speaks in a nice, clear voice, and has a lot of interesting things to say. We will try to involve him as much as possible so you can get to know him well!
Have you gone through a move recently? It can be crazy sometimes. Do you have any good stories? Tell us about it at the Life Goes On message board. It’s great practice, and an Ebaby! staff member will help you with your English!
See you next week!
