The movie, Be Kind Rewind is the story of the recreation of all movies. A project well worth the star-studded cast.

The flim begins with a hilarious incident that leads Jack Black to accidentally erase all of the movies at his friend’s movie store, played by Mos Def. To keep the movie store in business or at least to keep one very old customer happy, Jack Black and Mos Def try to remake all of the movies. Soon his neighbors discover their plans to recreate the movies and the entire town helps make these silly films.

Mason and Beren can’t wait to see what Jack Black and Mos Def come up with.

Mason:  I can’t wait to get to the movie theaters soon and catch Michel Gondry’s new flick.

Beren:  Ohh Be Kind Rewind.

Mason:  Yeah.

Beren:  It looks awesome.

Mason:  It looks so amazing, right?

Beren:  Yeah. Yeah. Mos Def. Jack Black.

Mason:  Jack Black. Danny Glover’s in it too and what has he done anytime recently?

Beren:  Yeah. I don’t know. I haven’t seen a movie with him in it in a really long time. But Jack Black that’s like a kinda left-field choice for that type of movie, to me.

Mason:  Really?

Beren:  Kinda, yeah.

Mason:  No, I mean, it’s totally right for some crazy weird concept. Like who would you believe would actually indulge the idea of remaking popular movies with, like, a high-definition camera and, like, props from his basement? Jack Black.

Beren:  Maybe. I don’t know. I think it should have been like Tom Green’s comeback vehicle or something.

Mason:  Oh. But would you have paid…I wouldn’t have paid money to see that.

Beren:  I would have paid money. I am a Tom Green fan. But anyway, Be Kind Rewind, Michel Gondry. Incredible.

Mason:  It’s such a good concept for his style of work, right? For that really organic, DIY thing.

Beren:  Totally.

Discussion

Mason believes that Jack Black would actually do something crazy and silly like remaking films in his basement. Though, Beren would have liked to see Tom Green play the main character.

Either way they are excited to see Michel Gondry direct and write another movie. He’s the guy who did The Science of Sleep and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. He’s a quirky director, who makes hand-made objects and alternate realities in his films. In Be Kind Rewind, he uses both of these elements.

What movie would you remake? Did you pick one you’re obsessed with, or one you think you could do better?

I wouldn’t have time to remake any film, and don’t have this desire.
I like watch films. Jack Black is very funny.
There is a film called “Shallow Hal” with Jack Black that is very good.

Deffinitely i’ll remake all the movies i obsessed with and believe could have done better by using better cast or by changing story line bit. I’ll recreate fliks like “walking in the clouds”,”Sliver” and Unfaithful”. But i might give chance to myself for play the main role of these movies

I checked the trailer and it kinda looked funny. Maybe this flick is for those who have watched many flicks so far, like Robocop, Goast busters, Rocky…etc. Anyway what I'd like to is to be able to watch movies without sbutitles.Wink
