Dating one of your friends can be confusing. Even if you’re both available and attracted to each other, it can be hard to know what the other person wants.

Marni and Dale are new friends. They haven’t hung out enough to know how the other one usually acts. So when Dale gets a little touchy-feely, Marni wonders if he wants more than just friendship. Watch her and Devan try to figure it out.

Marni

Devan: So, what’s new in the life of Marni? We haven’t talked since the whole John breakup hardly. Are you seeing anyone? Any prospects?

Marni: Well, interestingly enough, I am not sure if I went on a date or not recently.

Devan: What? With who?

Marni: You know that guy, Dale?

Devan: Yeah, yeah.

Marni: We met him at the bar a few weeks ago and yeah it was…I don’t know…The other day…We’ve been hanging out so I didn’t really think anything of it, but we went out for coffee and he insisted on treating me. I just thought we’d go Dutch, but he bought me coffee and there was a lot of gentle touches and he seemed very attentive.

Devan: So, like, the unnecessary arm touching…

Marni: Yeah. Yeah, where you’ve just kind of got this vibe and…I don’t know…

Devan: Was the conversation good?

Marni: It was. We had a really good conversation. I feel like we always do have a good conversation, but, yeah, it just, he seemed generally interested and really attentive.

Devan: And how do you feel about him, do you feel like there’s chemistry there?

Marni: I don’t know. I kind of felt like…I never really felt like that before, but I felt like, God, when we were talking, I was maybe sensing some sexual tension or something. I don’t know. Am I crazy?

Devan: That’s exciting!

Marni: Is it exciting? Or am I just making this up because…

Devan: No, I think that’s definitely a good sign. Those are all signs that I had from Jason.

Marni: Yeah?

Marni tells Devan that when she and Dale were hanging out the other day, he kept touching her arm. It could mean nothing, but it could also mean he likes her. He also paid for the coffee.

It sounds like Marni would be happy if Dale wanted to date her. Well, actually it sounds like she hasn’t thought about it too much. She is still hurt about her recent breakup, and it’s just so surprising.

Devan says she doesn’t think Marni is imagining things. She thinks Dale likes her. But what does Devan know? She only got together with Jason because he lost his memory!

What would you tell Marni? Have you ever hung out with someone and not known if it was a date or not?

i think that when a guy likes i girl, he starts doing things like the things Dale has done. This is the way we have to analize how girls react and then we have an idea how to go on…..

It´s hard to answer a question like that, but I think She is a pretty girl and He´s totally interested in seeing her. Even if she has no reason to start a new dating she can´t lose the moment and find another soulmate.

What I think she can´t do is to be regreting and forget she is living and then she must find her way to be happy again!

Oh yeah it was a date. With my recent relationship, I didn't even know that we were dating already. We had mutual understanding and stuff and when we finally get the chance to talk, we figured we were kind of in an "exclusive dating" thingy..

In their case, they should give it a try. Dating someone doesn't mean you're gonna be married to them or something. Marni could even forget the heartaches her former bf gave her and she could be having fun going out with dale. Besides, dating is actually a lot of fun..

I think it was a good date and marni was hesitant , marni has a willingness to accept Dale but needs another date , her sexual tension was natural , Dale deserves another date because he gave her a good sing.

I think it was a rehearsal of date. Dale just gets the lay of the land. Does Marni like hem? He did not know. Anyway it will be good for Marni to have a few dates. It will help her to forget about her recent breakup with John. She needs to fight fire with fire.
