It’s guaranteed that you’ll hear back from someone at Ebaby! if you email a question. When you work hard and study every day, in very little time you’ll learn English. It’s a sure thing!
When something is a sure thing, this means that it is guaranteed to happen. It’s a guarantee that the sun will rise. That’s a pretty sure thing! If it doesn’t rise, you can tell that something is very, very wrong. If someone asks you to eat a delicious brownie, it’s a sure thing that you’ll say, “Sure thing!”

Dominique: I don’t know. I don’t think this is the way out.
Kelsey: It’s definitely the way out. Trust me!
Dominique: How can you tell. It’s so… dark.
Kelsey: It’s a sure thing. I know that. Shh!
Dominique: What?
Kelsey: Did you hear that?
Dominique: No! What was it?
Kelsey: Nothing. Let’s get out of here.
Andy_H: Raaaarh!
Nestor: I’ll run it past the other producers, and we will decide. But if it were up to me, it’d be a sure thing. You three, you did great.
Kelsey: Thank you!
Andy_H: Kelsey, you did it!
Kelsey: We all did great!
Dominique: That was so much fun!!!
Kelsey: Hopefully, we’ll hear back soon!
Andy_H: It’s definitely a sure thing.
Kelsey: You shouldn’t say that. We don’t know who they’re going to choose or why.
Andy_H: Still…
Dominique: I’m hungry. Anyone want to get pizza?
Andy_H: Sure thing! No? Not funny?
Kelsey: Ugh. Andy!
Andy_H: Maybe, I’m more of a dramatic actor. That seems to suit me… You know, whenever I have a detective dream, there’s very little comedy…. Wait! Where are you guys going? Hey!

Andy, Dominique, and Kelsey are auditioning for a scary movie. They sneak around a pretend wall, looking for a way out. Kelsey assures Dominique that finding a way out is a sure thing. Kelsey thinks she hears something suspicious, but she decides it’s nothing.
Suddenly, Andy leaps out and scares the bejeezus out of them. Everyone screams. Nestor is very happy with the performance and gives them a slow clap. He says that he needs to run it by the producers. But if it were up to him, it’s a sure thing he would cast all three of them.
Have you ever auditioned for a movie? Was it a sure thing that you would get the part?
