Tanis: Hey Nedra!

Nedra: Yeah?

Tanis: I rode my bike past your boyfriend’s new house!

Nedra: Oh yeah?

Tanis: Yeah! And I thought that it looked just like that house from “The Money Pit!”

Nedra: Oh yeah, the movie where this young couple gets this really low price on a house and then it starts falling apart on them.

Tanis: Yeah! The whole house falls apart!

Nedra: That was a really funny movie actually.

Tanis: Yeah. I thought that it was a pretty funny too. I saw it a long time ago but I remember the raccoon in the dumb waiter. It’s really kind of unrealistic… I mean…

Nedra: Uhh humm…

Tanis: ...every conceivable thing that could go wrong with the house goes wrong with the house.

“The Money Pit” wasn’t successful at the box office or with the movie critics, but I think it’s a pretty entertaining movie. It’s even more enjoyable to watch after you’ve moved into a “fixer-upper” house.
