Ed

Wilson

Ed:  Couple of weeks before Jenny died, she asked me to drive her downtown. She said she wanted to talk to her boyfriend Valentine. I think she was looking for him.

Wilson:  Trying to catch him with another bird?

Ed:  Exactly. That’s what I thought. But we didn’t go to no hotel or nothing like that. We went someplace else.

Wilson:  Whereabouts?

Ed:  Some bad place, bad people. Some guy unloading a truck, some kind of deal going down, I don’t know and I don’t care. ‘K? They could have been shipping faba beans to Eskimos.

Wilson:  Did Jenny know?

Ed:  Valentine wasn’t there so if he was involved and she was into something, who’s to say? But I want to tell you, Jenny stood right in front of those guys, eyeballing ‘em, checking them out. She made me feel like she was covering MY ass.

DISCUSSION

This scene is great. It is actually much longer than this piece, but we couldn’t fit it all in. Ed has lots of great slang. His speech style is very interesting to listen to.

Discussion

This film is very well made. The director did a great job of switching between past, present and future in a simple-to-understand way. The setting gives it an eerie feeling, which makes it very interesting. However, the story itself isn’t very original and I wasn’t very impressed with the acting. I give it a 5 out of 10 Have you seen THE LIMEY and you want to share your opinion? Or maybe you have seen another movie recently you want to talk about? Well, come to the “Movie Madness” message board and tell us about it! From the front row, John
