Mickey: Lord, I’m bushed… A new book?
Charles: Yes, it’s about surviving in the wilderness.
Mickey: You’re always reading something.
Charles: Yep. My secretary gave it to me. Do you know why?
Mickey: Huh?
Charles: Do you know why she gave me the book?
Mickey: Boy that guy gave me the creeps with all that, all that talk about the bear. Why she geve you the book – because you’re the salt of the earth.
Charles: Oh, is that so?
Mickey: You’re the most excellent man. That’s why I married you.
Charles: And you’re the only woman I’ve ever wanted.
Mickey: Well then, see what a lucky guy you are.
Charles: Yes I do… This is a special day for me. You know that?
Mickey: I know it is. I’m really glad you came away with us. You gotta get away more often.

Discussion
This conversation is a bit strange. Charles is trying to remind Mickey that it’s his birthday, but she is avoiding the topic. She doesn’t want to talk about his birthday because she is pretending not to remember. In the next scene, she throws a surprise party for him. The Edge is an exciting movie. The action is fierce and so are the bears! I also really liked the Alaskan scenery. I recommend this movie and give it a 7 out of 10. Have you seen this movie and you want to share your opinion? Or maybe you have seen another movie recently you want to talk about? Well, come to the “Movie Madness” message board and tell us about it! From the front row, Migs
