As part of your plan before giving a presentation you must know who you are going to present to.

Then you make your presentation suitable for the people who will be there.

You should spend at least 1 hour preparing your presentation; that is looking at who will attend, what message do you want to leave in their minds and how they will see you message.  Remember the more you put into a presentation the more likely you are to win your point of view.  Nobody likes to listen to a poorly presented piece of work.  It is wasting your time!

After you have made your plan your should immediately write the introduction slide and the last slide AT THE SAME TIME.  Your presentation will start and end with the same message.

You will need to practice about 10-20 times your start and end of the presentation.  You want a good start and a perfect end.  Remember you will be remembered for how you started and most of all how you finished.

Imagine if the audience are there to buy your product or your brand.  What do you want them to buy?

When you are happy with the start and end now you can work on the middle section.

Good luck!

When planning any presentation it is important to consider: Your message Your audience Your purpose A presentation can be any verbal or written act of communication. Remember it is more important HOW you present than WHAT you present. In a presentation YOU are in control of how the audience will hear your message and what message you will deliver. The first part of any presentation is planning. You must be confident in what you want you want to present. We will take each section of a presentation in turn; looking at each in different blogs. The first task is to plan your presentation. What do you wat to communicate? Who are you communicating to? How long have you got? What is your desired outcome? Who can help you? Who will hinder you? Are there risks associated with the message? How will you follow up on the presentation? This is just the start!

I agree with you, but it is not as simple as that when our presentation must be in a language we are trying to improve, it's very hard to find words and sentences.
