‘Domradio’ says that while Ahmadiyya-Muslims still are considered the most persecuted religious minority worldwide the International ‘Society For Human Rights’ says that we still shouldn’t ignore that according to reports China has about 1 million Uigurs imprisoned in camps and in psychiatries where these people are getting tortured.

‘Domradio’ says that this Saturday someone set the Roman-Catholic church St. Franziskus in Gummersbach on fire. Luckily the fire was discovered very soon. Except for the organ getting destroyed and the whole building smelling burned now nothing happened. The police presumes that Catholophobic people were behind this crime.

‘Domradio’ says that the nun Sister Monika Düllmann received this year’s Moses-Mendelssohn-Award which is given to people who fight for a religiously or politically tolerant society. She runs a Roman-Catholic hospital where patients get their religious wishes fulfilled – like having a special diet for religious reasons or requiring some thing to practice a certain religious ritual. Plus the hospital also offers activities that should encourage patients to communicate about faith to clear up misunderstandings.

>Alas this week there also were negative news as far as religious tolerance is concerned: ‘Domradio’ says that in peaceful protests many Belgian Roman-Catholics made it clear this week that they see it as a limitation of their rights as a religious group that from this week on in Belgium everyone including Catholics should have the right to abort an unborn child no matter the reason. By the way the decision for this new law of course was made by the Belgian parliament.
>In Bavaria the ‘Bund für Geistesfreiheit’ (Club of Freedom of Mind) contacted the court in Munich this week to sue the governor of Munich for signing a new law which says that Bavarian public buildings must have the Christian cross somewhere to show that Bavaria is mostly Roman-Catholic.

‘Domradio’ says that this month the Roman-catholic Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela and a statue of Pope Benedict XVI fell victim to Catholophobic vandalism. Even worse in Aachen (Germany) someone even shot into a Roman-Catholic church – without hitting anyone.

‘Domradio’ says that in Germany now the first Christian-Islamic daycare was opened in Lower-Saxony. This daycare is supposed to teach kindergarden-children to tolerate and respect each others different religious opinion and cultural background.
